Representative Cases
  • Counsel to a US artist in an international copyright infringement and unfair competition law matter against Swiss and German art galleries (offensive action). Civil and criminal action against the involved art galleries and the artist’s former European distributor finally led the defendants to consent to an amicable settlement, comprising, inter alia, substantial compensation for damages.
  • Counsel to a Swiss industrial company in a design infringement and unfair competition law matter against another Swiss based industrial group (defensive action). After a response had been filed on behalf of the client/defendant, all claims of the plaintiff/counterparty were finally dismissed (rejected) by the Court.
  • Counsel to an Italian industrial company in trademark cancellation proceedings in court against a multinational group (defensive action), which claimed non-use of the client’s trademark in Switzerland. The cancellation action was withdrawn by claimant after a response and evidence of use had been filed on behalf the client/defendant.
  • Counsel to a leading US IT company in a trademark infringement and unfair competition law matter against a Swiss IT company (offensive action). Based on negotiations, the Swiss IT company consented to a settlement agreement comprising, inter alia, the transfer of a disputed domain name.
  • Counsel to a Swiss musician and his publisher in a copyright infringement matter against a Swiss film producer (offensive action). Based on negotiations, the film producer consented to a settlement agreement which comprised, inter alia, substantial compensation for damages.
  • Counsel to a Swiss industrial company in a patent and design infringement matter, which included the filing of protective letters with various Swiss courts (defensive action).
